Mr. Jason E Ballard has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, having obtained a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting and a Masters in Taxation. Mr. Ballard has served in various capacities as a Business Professional for major firms and corporations while at the same time, owning and operating several businesses including his own tax and accounting firm.
Mr. Ballard started his professional career at the Big-Five Accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC), as a tax staff associate while still attending college. At PwC, Mr. Ballard prepared tax returns for some of the largest companies in the world. Immediately following his tenure at PwC, Mr. Ballard secured a position as Supervisor/Manager with Schonbraun, Safris, McCann, Bekritsky & Co. LLC (now the FTI Schonbraun McCann Group, LLP). The FTI Schonbraun McCann Group (SMG) is the largest, dedicated national real estate and finance consulting firm in U.S. There Mr. Ballard worked on complex tax returns for some of the major real estate companies around the country while also participating in sophisticated tax planning for various individuals and business entities.
Mr. Ballard left SMG and landed a position with Siemens Corporation as a Senior Tax Accountant, a large multinational corporation that operates in electronics and electrical engineering, in the industry, energy and healthcare sectors. At Siemens, he was responsible for the preparation of the Siemens Corporation federal tax return (U.S. Parent Co.) as well as various separate, combined and consolidated state tax returns. Mr. Ballard was instrumental in the overall process improvement of the Siemens Corporation Tax department by helping to develop an in-house software that was used to bridge the gap in information gathering between all Siemens Operating Companies. Moreover, he was responsible for the calculation of the consolidated foreign tax credit used to minimize Siemens overall Federal tax liability in the U.S.
While working in those capacities, Mr. Ballard has owned and operated JB Tax & Accounting Services, LLC. Through this business enterprise, Mr. Ballard has assisted individuals and small business with tax planning and tax return preparation. Utilizing some of the advice he provides his clients, Mr. Ballard has been successful at owning and operating a school bus company and a real estate investment company. Lastly, Mr. Ballard provides his clients with accounting and business advisory and consulting services.
Mr. Ballard participates in community service activities through the fraternity Phi Beta Sigma, Inc. In addition, Mr. Ballard is a member of Beta Alpha Psi, National Accounting Fraternity, Seton Hall Chapter.
Mr. Ballard resides in Jackson, NJ with his wife Tanesha and his sons Jason Jr and Tyler.
